Day 36 (Tuesday,07.04.09) Weather: 16 degrees (Air-con room temperature)
Woke up at 6.30am in the morning as there was a Student Leadership Programme for us to attend. At 7am, we leave WUST and went to a campus called Zhongnan 分校. It was actually the place, where another group of Ngee Ann students(ECE division) stayed.
The duration reaching that school took us around 1hour and 30 minutes(also due to some traffic jam). At 8.30am, we reached there and we were split into 4 groups (randomly), such that there is a mixture of MDE, LSCT and ECE group.
The first mission they ask us to do was the usual ones, create a group name, group logo, group song(cheer they mean) and lastly, draw it on a flag.
Our flag! As our group was yellow in colour, therefore, our group logo is spongebob! Group name:Spongebobes.
After all this are done, there was another mission for us. It is to use newspaper, to do a conveyor belt, and us walking on it and move like a tank. Doing the lay out of the coveyor belt. The most difficult part of this missioin is about connecting the news paper. Then, all done, ready to take on the competition.
After these 2 activities, we went for our lunch. As I did not bond much with my group mates earlier on, I had lunch with my usual bunch of people (LSCT).
There were lots of restaurant specialize in fish ball over there! So, after taking consideration from the people there, we went to what they said which was the best fish ball restaurant over there. The restaurant we dine in
The room
As fish balls was their signature dish, of course we ordered! 40 fish ball!!
The soup was super delicious! Cause you all know why, there was one whole fish in it! See the picture above!
After lunch, we were back for our challenge! Before trying all those adventure buildings, we played a game, called, 前方有难,后面支援. How this game is played is by mainly, one of the representative will stay in front (a distance away from us), then, an instructor will say how many and what things he needed. Then, us people behind must gave those things to that person in front. E.g. 5 pairs of shoes. 5 of us need to take off our shoes and pass to the person in front. To me, this activity really creates bonding! As compared to the previous one (building of conveyor belt tank), it’s much better in the sense that everyone participate!
After this, we were off for our adventure time! Firstly, we were challenge on 断桥, directly translate to English, means broken bridge. As the name suggested, it mean jumping across a platform about 6 stories high. See the pictures to know what I mean.
Me climbing. I hate the helmet !
Me getting ready to jump
Success! Ps, i pull the rope and jump together, cause im afraid that i will not be able to make it! As you all know im very short!
After jumping across that broken platform, here comes the most SCARY part of this activity. They ask us to jump of the platform so as to come down. And i really mean jump! The belayer below did fasten the rope, he just let the rope dangling there! It was a free fall down! Until when you was about to read the floor, he then stop it. OH GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME! I ALMOST WET MY PANTS! Singapore belaying is like slowly let us down bit by bit. China's version is different. What i got to say about the belayer is that: HE IS STRONG!
Jin Quan! Success too! See, even Jin quan also scared
Li ying turn! Initially, she was unwilling to go up. But, with much effort telling her to at least give it a try, she overcome her own barrier and go for it!!
The 6 of us(LSCT) we all tried and SUCCESS!!
While waiting for the others to complete, we did our own stuff.
Shadow of my hair?
Playing see-saw with Jin Quan! Fun FUn FUN!!
Our next challenge was trust fall.
A demostratioin made by this 2 gentle man. Regrading the right pose while people falling from the top. Heads up, leg lock and plam on the partern shoulder!
Jin Quan Trust fall
Then my turn!
Yi Sheng Trust fall
Yi Sheng was ASTOUNDED
Me and Li Ying
Lastly is rock climbing. I did not try it our as I have did A LOT of rock climbing in my secondary school life. Feeling quite sick of it, I pass it. But, from what I observed, this rock climbing is DEFINTELY more difficult to climb as compared to what I did before. It’s about 6 stories high and there were little rocks to support on… Thus, it needs a lot of body strength to climb it
Randolph(on the left) and Clive(on the right) climbing
Clive made it!
In the meantime, while i have nothing to do, i went to roam at their playgroud with felicia
See the elephant slide Felicia enjoying the swing
Another picture of me
After this, it was the end of our Student Leadership Programme(5.30pm). I enjoyed it! It was rather a fun day for me as i have always longed for such activities(even thought much leadership skill involved).
As we need to be back by 6.15pm, thus, we strolled around that place.
Me with our group flag
Tumb up!
The nothing better to do boys. Hahas
These two pictures look so british style! Strange to see them in China

There were people fishing
Guess what, they caught a fish! Quite big indeed!
This guy was trying to reduce the pain of this fish. A new experience gained! First time seeing people fishing and got soemthing in return!
Heart enclosing the sun. (supposing there should be sun in the middle, but my camera was not that good)
Can you see the sun is so small?
Soon, we boarded the bus at 6.15pm and reached WUST at 7.30pm. As usual, we went for dinner! Dinner:Fried rice and jasmine tea
After dinner, went back bath(in the dark AGAIN) and do project. At around 12am, it was another birthday of our beloved coursemate: Shan Mei! Thus, at 12am, we gave her a mini birthday cake and sang her birthday song. After her making wish and blowing off the candle, she gave us a bit of her cake and we ate it and left as we still have yet to done project. Here, i would like to tell Shan Mei sorry for not giving you a birthday like what we gave to J&J as we were all busy on Env tech! I wish you a very happy birthday! Stay smart, pretty, cute, happy and healthy!
