Day 29 and day 30
Day 29 (Tuesday, 31.03.09)
Weather: Cold

As usual, it was like any other day, class in the morning, eat lunch, and go back for lesson again. So, I woke up at 9.30am, wash up and get prepared for class which is at 10.30am.

For lunch, ate soup base noodles again.
I just like to eat food repeating. I’m afraid to eat others as I do not like the taste and the ingredients/seasonings they added.

Then, back to class for lesson at 2pm. About 5pm, Mr Chong gave us watch another movie, called earth. As we are studying environment technology, there is a need to show us. Thus, we watched it till 6.15pm and class ended. Earth was indeed a heart aching movie. Showing us how us; human activity, caused the environment and ecosystem to be ruined terribly. Soreness arises when seeing the polar bear trying to survive…

So, after class, we went to eat MacDonald for dinner. I ordered double chesse burger meal. Then, came back to study for our common test again as it was nearing(2 days away) and lots of memorizing is needed!

Studied till 12am, then found out that, it was April fool day! So, what we (Felicia and I) did was that to write a “happy april fool note” on a piece of plain paper and stick it on everyone’s door! Initially, decided to knock on everyone’s door and run off. But, that idea was scrapped off as we did it on 2 room doors and none opened it.

Thus, enough of our nonsense, we went back to study. At around 2.30am, we watch the movie “inconvenient truth” as we was informed that 10% of the common test is related to that movie. Thus, watch it till 4am and lastly, sleep.

Day 30 (Wednesday, 01.04.09) April fool
Weather: 10 degree

Today, we were invited to the new campus of WUST. The reason why we were invited as they wanted to do collaboration with Ngee Ann poly, School Of Health Science, Nursing course. Thus, as we were from school of LSCT(Life Sciences and Chemical Technology) our lecturer was invited to do a talk there, with us along... Actually, I did not know much about it. Till then I went there.

So, woke up at 7.30am as we need to report at 8am. I was lack of sleep then, feeling quite dizzy due to only 3 hours sleep as the day before slept at 4am. Thus, around 10am we reached the new campus!

Firstly, we were brought to their library which inside there was a museum saying about the history of WUST. After listening so much(although very tried), I shall summaries it using 1 sentence: WUST really have a long history to be so established!
Their library. As known, it was Hubei largest library amoung the unversities. COOL! The museum we went in
Woah, Ngee Ann's plaque was in their musemum!

Okay, so previously i was unsure about the old and new campus things. Now i understand after viewing the musemum and seeing the model of the WUST building.

This is the whole campus! VERY BIG!! The library is at the center of the model. The light brown building in the picuture.

Then this is the old campus of WUST. The one we are staying in.

This is the main entrance of old campus WUST(the one we are staying in)! See the model(on the left) and the real picture(on the right) Alike?

Then, this is our dormitory! It's far behind, very far away from the main entrance. Look at the overview picture 2 picture on top.

Another side of the old campus which we seldom been there.

In conclusion, WUST was SUPER HUGE! One was thinking that if Singapore have the land, a lot of us Singaporean do not have to worry about getting into university as the problem now in Singapore was, too little land for building of more university which lead to principle of meritocracy.

Then, we went to their so called “sample of real but dead living organism” sector(sorry, I do not know which vocabulary to use, forgotten, hope you all understand” It basically showcase sample of the dead(whom donated themselves for the benefits of others) inner organs and some birth defect.
(WARNING: BELOW CONTAIN PICTURES WHICH ARE DISGUSTING, SEE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.)

We are so welcome by them!!
The place... Beware for those who are scared..

The real human brain. The blood vessel is painted maunally as it is not cleared by itself. Wondered how that person managed to do it. SCARY!

Spinal cord taken away
Inner view of our intestine
View of a baby from his/her brains to spinal core
View of our face with all the veins all those. It's so GROSS!! look at the hair, eye lashes and everything. I know it may look fake, but they are all REAL!!!!

Birth defect...
A brainless child
A child not properly taken out from a mother womb.

Our heart

After viewing that place, I was bewildered! It was an eye-opening experience to see those samples and knowing that fact that the locals(in the course of “clinical something?”) dissect on real human while Singapore uses amphibians and insects. Really flabbergasted by that and it is an experience that cannot be found in Singapore!

So, after that, we went to view their ICU corner. As compared to Ngee Ann ICU corner, I STRONGLY feels that Ngee Ann’s ICU, labatory is far far FAR WAY better than what is there. Ours was more high tech and far more better quality of equipment(sorry, I know I sounded very bias, but this is how I felt) See the picture yourselves and do comparison.

Soon, after these places they had bring us, it’s the end of our tour for that day and we were all settled in a room for interaction. At first, the students there tell us more about themselves. As some of them come from different province, they introduced themselves to us. First to come out was a guy form Wuhan(as we are in Wuhan). Then, Nanjing, Dongbei and so on. Then, it’s our turn introducing Singapore to them. So, we did our presentation somewhat similar to what we did for WUST old campus. We presented Singapore’s Culture, Belief, Students lifestyle, Infrastructures and FINE system in Singapore. The students there were very attentive. They also have an inquisitive mindset on knowing more about Singapore as they asked us a lot of question during Q&A session.
We are so welcome again!
The place we settle in. It's like we having important meeting! Love this kind of table setting style!
After that, we had our lunch at their school canteen

See! he is so tall!! He is around 2meter!!
The school canteen! It looks like our Ngee Ann convention center!

My meal! potatoe strip with chicken cubes. 2 words to describe "Not nice"...
My soya drink. One work to describe "NICE!"

After eating, we went to roam their lake over there. Some random pictures...

We left at that place around 2pm and reached back WUST(old campus; our homes) at 3pm.But, we have class 3.30pm till 6pm.

After class, my dinner was beef noodles. Also, after dinner, went back to study tomorrow common test and slept at 1.30am. Was not very ready for the common test as I was not used to the surrounding and not much things get into my mind. But at least I tried. Optimistic is the mindset to have!

No april fool joke on that day as we were all busying studying for the next day common test.
