Day 4 reflection
-It was my first lesson held in Wuhan, in their university, in their classroom and in a totally different environment. The feeling is very different as it was very cold in the room and heater was on. It was a new experience for me.
-I have learnt about 2 global issues, as mentioned; they are global warming and ozone layer depletion, which included which gases contribute to the situation, what are the consequences and examples of processes that produce these gases. For global warming, the gases contributed were CO2,CH4,NOx,H2O,CFC’s, the consequences were soil erosion, danger of flooding, rise in temperature etc. and the examples of processes these gases are burning of fossil fuels, depletion of forest etc. For ozone depletion, gases contributed are mainly CFC’s, the consequence is that it caused cancer, cataract in system reduced immune system etc. Lastly, the examples of processes that produce these gases are similar to global warming.
-Thridly, while roaming around the place, I noticed that each shop have different pricing for their goods; some more expensive, some cheaper. So, I learned the “coquetry skill” from mei yi, which is decrease the price by 70% first, then increased slowly to 50%, if the above 50%, do not considered to buy. For example, if the item is 100yuan, tell them 30 yuan, then slowly increase to 50 yuan, more than 50 yuan, can considered not to buy.
- Lastly, while taking public bus back to the hostel, I have a culture shock! I was sitting at a seat near the front sit, then, there came a lady with buck teeth approaching me, she said “wo yao zuo, wo yao zuo”(I want to sit, I want to sit)in Chinese. Then, without me even standing, I got push away by her from my seat. I felt that she was very rude…
Day 5 reflection
-Firstly, we went to East Lake, I felt rather boring there as there is nothing much which interest me, except the Qu Yuan memorial building and the scenery over there
- Secondly, we went to the museum. It was attention-grabbing museum, especially the tomb marquis Yi of Zheng! The coffin and the things that buried with the kings were all very big and very attractive! It let us understand how powerful and important the emperor is in the olden days. I find the things buried with him are a bit exaggerating as they are so many and huge. But nevertheless, it fun to know all this. I love that place a lot, I hope to roam at that museum more, but unfortunately, we are in rush of time.
-Lastly, we went to the yellow crane towel. It was also boring to me as there is nothing much to see in the building. We just climb all the way up(7 levels) to see the scenery and took pictures. I only found the history of the building were fascinating that’s all.
