Title: Day 19 (2 days 1 night trip, Wudang Mountain)

Let me give you a 3 bulleting summary about Wudang Mountain

  • It’s 1612m= 1.612km
  • In the past, there were many Taoist monasteries situated there
  • It was prominent for its martial arts.

Day 19
Woke up at 6am and boarded the bus at 7.15pm. The temperature back then was around 16 degree neither too cold nor hot. The bus as compared to previous one was smaller and less cozy. Also, we saw our friendly tour guide again! Glad to have them accompanied us all the way.

After boarding the bus, we were informed that it was going to be a 5 hours ride. OMG! It’s freaking long. So, what did most of us do? SLEEP!! During the bus ride, there were certain stops for toilet breaks (about 4?). What I mean by this is by stopping where there are public toilets for us to use. It is similar to those in Malaysia, where in the middle of the highway, there are public toilets as the journey can be long. Since I am in the topic about toilet. Let me do some comparing about the toilet in Singapore and China

Singapore

  • Toilet very clean (expect SOME hawker center)
  • Got doors
  • Flusher useable (as in no feces(shit) seen)
  • Availability of toilet paper (expect some hawker center)
  • Ventilation very good! Surprising toilet smells nice!!
China
  • Toilet SUPER DIRTY! (do the cleaner make an effort to clean the toilet?)
  • NO DOORS!! (but for some toilets only)
  • Flusher = no use (there where pile of **** EVERYWHERE! Girls toilet worst, you should know what I mean)
  • No toilet paper, we need to provide our own tissue
  • Ventilation is horrendous! Basically the toilets smell like fish market, no should be drain smell plus dustbin smell plus sewage plus rotten egg and fish market smell. STINK TO THE CORE!

So around 1pm, we reached Wudang Mountain restrict! At the same timing as we reached, it rained. But, we are not climbing that day. In conclusion, lucky (heng). We then had our lunch at a Da Jiu dian(high class restaurant?)
Bascially, these are my dishes. As you can see, it's MOSTLY VEGETABLES!!! Is our trip budget till we can only eat grass? By the way, i did not eat much, as most of you know, i do not eat vegetables. But i still got eat, don worry! =]

Also, while we was in the bus and about to leave, the lady in black came into our bus out of no where. She kept asking us to buy the map of Wudang Mountain as she assume that it would benefit us later. Sad to say, none of us bought.
To think of that, Singapore do not have people like this; coming up to bus sell map and it is illegal too. Rare incidence...

Then, we reached Wudang Mountain. We changed to the touring bus there and visted some of their Jin Dian(Attractions) on the

The entance

Going in to Wudang Mountain The ticket! It is very nice and unique! It is a small booklet and there is this little disc inside to show about Wudang Mountain!
So thoughtful of them to do this! Singapore should have this kind of concept too while making ticket as it serve as a sovenir purpose too.

The 1st stop of attraction, Tai Zi Po. We took around 20 mins of bus ride to there. After reaching there, we still need to climb flights of stairs...
Also, the stairs height is this kind of steep...

Then, we passed here,

and here (a lot of people and a lot of climbing)

Reached! Took a group photo!

Me
Then to the study area of Tai Zi

On the way, this is the recyclable dustbin in china, Special! As compared to Singapore, this is way better and somehow graps my attention more...

Reached Tai Zi study area, but cannot take picture inside. Inside you can do praying for yourself to study better things like that?

one pillar twelve beams!
What is so special about this is that it support 5 storey just with one pillar and 12 beams!!

Can you count 12 beams? Sorry, taking a bit not so good, if do not have 12, blame on my camera skill

Can you see a dragon inside?? Usually, people throw in coins to make wishes? If you can see the mouth, there is 1 coin over there, it was a friend of mine who threw it there!! Great accuracy!

Then, we went to The Purple Heaven Palace!

Climbing again. As it was a mountain, a lot of climbing needed... But lucky, the weather is COOLING! Thus, no complains while climbing!!

In Wudang Mountain, there are a lot of this kind of stone tortise. This is beacause when you see Wudang Mountain from the top, it looks like tortise!

Then, we reached The Purple Heaven Palace. This is a place where we saw matial arts!
Some random shots

Tada!! The martial arts in Wudang Mountain, which it is famous for!

From what i know, the students(xue di) here left their hometown and really came here to pratice and learn martial arts as they have the passion for it!! Somemore, there are girls too!
*SALUTE!!* I really can't imagine myslef in their shoes. Leaving home for 6 week is killing me, how about leaving it for many many years...

I do not know whether did you guys notice, that black outfit little girl did her moves wrongly and she got PINCH by the shi fu(teacher)!! *OUCH!!* Also, i saw one incidence is that they got PUNCH on their stomach when they did wrong(but no chance to video it down)
THEIR TRAINING WAS STRICT AND TOUGHT INDEED!!! Heart aching to see that they are punished... No wondered a lot of people said that China really TRAIN their people. An eye opening scene... Training in Singapore should considered less strict and tedious than China...

Took photos with them! Us doing make moves too!

Hahas!

Then, we walked to... ermm, actually, i do not know either, caused i followed blindly. For the picuture above, it is what they call lao hu ya(tiger's teeth). Does it looks like a real tiger teeth? I cannot figure out though.

Then, we pass thought these Big Stone. Does that retangular block support the rock? hmm...

They are my friendly tour guide!! I love them!! See! She is soo CUTE!! KAWAI!!

Some scenery shots

Around 6.15pm, we left the place as the last bus is at 6.15pm. So, we took the bus and went down the mountain. Wonder how mountain routh looks like? Look at my video to see how giddy it can get!

It just keep turning and turning and i was swinging left and right. OMG! Motion sickeness!

Then, around 7pm, i am at back down at the bottom of the mountain and i saw this! Very interesting! A machine full of charging devices! But sadly, it do not have my USB port to charge my MP3.

Then, we went to same place to eat our dinner, the place where we ate our lunch. To my utter dissapointment, most of the dishes were VEGETABLES!! DOES THEY ONLY HAVE VEGETABLES? Still, tried to eat as i was very hungry then...

After dinner, we went to our hotel. At first, did not have much expectation on the hotel we are going to. Reason being, for the previous trip to 3 gorges, the 4 stars cruise was a let down. Thus, did'nt dare to expect too much. But, our tour guide promised us that it would be better than last time, as we will be going to the best hotel in Wudang Mountain. Okay, so hope arised!

The hotel we went to...
The key to access to our room!
ITS SO EXTRAORDINARY!!( sorry, 1st time seeing this, but i think Singapore also have right?)

All you have to do is to tap the magnet on the door there and... Green light will light up! Mean you can access to your room!

What we saw once the door open... BIG!! Ohhhhhhhhhh Myyyyyyy GODDDDD!!!

The toilet. IT'S A TOILET BOWL!!! WOAH!! The toilet bowl which I DESIRED! I love this hotel's toilet! Furthermore, the toilet have water heater! I CAN bath! This hotel is way way way way way way way way way

The bed is double single!

See 2 of us lying on one bed? It's really a BIG BED!!

The place for us to get "romantic". LOL! A girl is staying with me, don't think too much!

I'm indeed very SATISFIED with the hotel! Let me tell you all why

Cruise

No heater, no water heater(cannot bath), toilet VERY small and room is small too!

This hotel
Got heater, got water heater(for me to have a nice bath!), toilet is bigger and i just love the toilet bowl! and the room is HUGE!
To add on, i love the bed! Although it is hard, but it's better than the 1 I'm having in the hostel. My butt hurts after sitting on it for a period of time!

So, after viewing our rooms, we all gathered in one of our friend's room(jin quan's and ian's) for an imporatant dicussion(on climbing the mountain or not).
Thus after much consideration and decision making, Our conclusion is: CLIMB!

After our dicussion, we went to the provision shop to buy some energy drink and food;mainly finger tibits for us to eat while climbling.

This is all about day 19 and we ALL slept at 12am in the morning and
Wudang mountain, here we come!!!
