Title:Day 18 (kidd birthday bash!)

Gd evening!! Hello to my readers!! I’m back from my 2 days 1 night trip to Wudang Mountain!! Also, I want to VOICE OUT something!! I’ve CONQURED WUDANG MOUTAIN!! *Claps!!!* Okay, let me start from my day 18 first…

Day 18, (20th of March 09, Friday) Strangely, I woke up at 8.30am. However, I think it was because that I wanted to checked my results as it was the released of results for my previous semester. Sad to say, I did badly; as the GPA was worst than last semester. But, life still goes on no matter I did good or bad.

After that, my roommates and course mates went to eat breakfast but I did not tag along as I was feeling depressed then. Soon, they came back and they bought a drink and biscuits for me, Thanks Felicia and mei yi popo!!

It was a Friday and we do not need to attend any class. Hence, in the afternoon most of us decided to go shopping (but I don’t know where)! But I did not go again, as I wanted to stay in the room to blog and do my own stuff so do my roommates, Felicia and mei yi.

As the time ticked away, soon it was 6pm and we started about our plan which was secretly going on few days ago. Let me brief you all what I meant. (I did not blog earlier as I scared that “he” will read my blog.)
- Kidd birthday(local student) (22nd of march 09)
- 7 days ago, all of us(17 of us, including Mr Chong) came to a consensus on doing a birthday bash for him
- But, we decided to celebrate his birthday at 20th of march 09(Friday). As Saturday and Sunday we are climbing Wudang Mountain, thus, we should be very tired by then.
-Actually, decided to celebrate it in a KTV, but it seems small should not be able to hold so many people (more than 20). In the end, we have a classroom instead.
-Thus, we bought an Adidas bag, a 10 inch size of cake (for consumption) and a 4 inch size of cake (for smashing) for him

So, this what actually happened, on 6pm, we started our plan. Firstly, we alliance with a student union (journey) to book a classroom for us. Before leaving the room at 6pm, we called the rest of our course mate (whom had went shopping) to be back at 7pm and meet in the classroom first. Then, we called kidd to ask him whether he was free to bring us out to eat and play, he agreed.

Actually we wanted to treat him, but he insisted on buying himself. While eating, we suddenly told him that a friend of ours birthday was today and asked him to come along to celebrate it. At first, he actually buys our story. Unfortunately, as times to go buy, calls started to come in and he became suspect on what we are doing.

Finally, at 7pm, we bluffed him all the way to the classrooms and celebrated his birthday. The lights were turned off initially, then, when he step into the classroom, we sang happy birthday song for him(in chinese and english version) So, this was the cake(for bashing) on the table then.

Then, the boys, suggested to take photos together, but only boys only!

Then, this was wat happened! They find excuses to take photo in order to do this! Cunnig?

Our poor kidd was taken aback! Some picture of him with the stain of cake cream on his outer jacket...

Aiyo, his poor jacket... Actually, in China, they seldom smash cakes on people. This is because its not a culture here to smash cake on people. However, this is smashing cakes is oftenly seen in Singapore. What they do mainly is usually play with the cream of the cake only. Like, using the cream to draw on their face.

Then, we bought out the consumption cake for him! The 1 on top! It is 10 inch on the bottom and 8 inch at the top! Cool! this is the first time i bought double layered cake for a someone birthday! Usually, in singapore, we used normal cake. Only for wedding or like major birthday(21 years old), we will then used layered cakes. Thus, this seeing this cake kind of make me feel excited.(hahas) OH! Also, China cake are way way cheaper than Singapore's. This doubled layer cake only cost us 70rmb which is about 15 dollars?? Cheap? i bet you all are nodding your head profusely now!

Him, looking at us suspiciously... Thinking whether is it another trick that we are going to play on him... But after reassuring him that this cake is really for consumption purpose, he then believe us!

Cutting of the cake. Seriously speaking, this is the first time observing someone cutting this type of cake! Let me tell my readers how to the cut this kind of cake. From what i have found out, China people directly cut it from the top part of the cake. Just like that and cut as if cutting a normal cake...
If i were the 1 cutting, i think i would horizontally cut from the middle part frist so as to seperate the top and bottom later, from there, then continue cutting them in slices. But, still not bad lars,unique way for cutting.
After cutting a few slices for the China students and Mr Chong there, us(LSCT students) and kidd used our Singaporean way of eating the cake!

TUCK IN!!! Singaporean way of eating: Use a fork and just eat directly from the cake! This create bonding! See how happly we are eating? China students were shocked when we are doing this, as they had not eat like this before!

After eating our cake,we managed to have speakers from Mr Chong and we did some dance!

First, we did mass dance! *shake shake here and there* A lot of us participated as it was easy and fun! Everyone just join in the dance!

After this, the next dance, next dance came in, want to make a guess what dance is next?It's NRA time!

From what i have known, the students here do not have much this kind of dance, thus, they were seeing how stuns were made.
After this, another type of dance came in. Now, is latin dance. HAHAS! we knew a lot of dance yea?

Teaching kidd the steps for Cha Cha

Again, we enjoying ourself dancing again (p.s didi no jealous ar.. ><) For latin dance, it's also not a culture for them to dance in China either. Thus, this dance is considered new and rare as they do not learnt them. From all this dance that we have put up, i suddenly felt that Ngee Ann is really FANTASTIC!!! The NRA and Latin dance(dancespot) are all avaiable in our CCA! I really felt so privilledge as we can take them up anytime. Some of us whom took them up really have the passion for it, while others just took up to try them out.(learn for fun). However for students in China wise, for those who have the interest in it, they cannot find this is their campus. Also, even they are really interested, they might not even find the place to learn it and it also, it may cost...
Lastly, after all these dance-s, we finally present our present to kidd

In conclusion, after all this, we cleaned up the mess we created in the room. After that, me, felicia, alan, jasper,yong qi, hardy, mei yi, yisheng and I went to macdonal to grap some food. Then, i order nugget meal(sinful! i ate supper!) and share with felicia. So, we chatted for around 1 hours plus and we the slowly wake back to WUST(around 11 plus).

To our supprise, the main door was locked! Actually wanted to climb in, but we foresees that the alarm will sound. Thus, we called for help. Then, we were informed to enter by the side door as it should be unlock. True enough, it was not locked and we managed to get in to the university! However, when we reached our dormitory, our dormoitory door was locked!!!

Through some effort done, we managed to wake up and get the janator to open the door for us. Lastly we were finally back in our own rooms, bath and sleep. So whey are we locked ourside? i shall start some curfews in WUST. Main door closed after 11pm. Dormitory door closed at 11.30pm. Now you all should know why...

For day 19, I can see that kidd is very happy, but, we dirtied his jacket. Sorry!! Also, Sorry to jin quan watch! Hope that it will be fixed in Singapore. Gomen na sai!!
